High Resolution Episcopic Microscopy

HREM
HREM is a destructive post mortem imaging method (video). It produces digital volume data with typical voxel sizes of 2x2x2µm³ from volumes of 4x3x6mm³. Routines for larger & smaller sizes are established. The data are virtual stacks of single images produced during physical sectioning of histologically embedded organic material. Image quality is similar to images of histological sections.
